Project Overview
Bin Qasim Power Station-II is K-Electric’s flagship 560 MW thermal power plant, which was facing severe issues due to the poor functioning of the manual valve and outdated Chinese actuators. A survey was conducted by the company and identify the root cause. K-Electric decided to upgrade all critical valves with AUMA motorized actuators. It leads to the Replaced Chinese actuators with AUMA motorized actuators. – Integrated actuators with the plant’s existing automation and SCADA systems.
Highlights
Trips due to valve failure have been nearly eliminated, and potential revenue loss of Rs 1.8 crore/hour avoided during critical operations.
